G. Christopher Coffin CEO and Co-Founder
Mr. Coffins career in the data communications industry spans more than 25 years and several continents. Currently he is co-founder and CEO of Digital Acoustics, developer of innovative intercom and paging products that improve the capabilities of informational, event-based or access control networks. Because they are 100% digital and IP-based, Digital Acoustics systems provide interactivity, precision, and flexibility in use and design, resulting in simplified, cost-effective solutions that enhance safety and support without limiting future options.

As a seasoned and serial entrepreneur, Coffin understands the critical success factors in designing products to meet a precise niche in the marketplace. As a communications professional, Coffin is committed to developing solutions that continually upgrade the speed and accuracy of information transfer. Early in his career, Coffins team developed several of the industrys most innovative products, including the first portable V.32/9600 bps modem and the first portable fax modem. As VP of Business Development at US Robotics (USR, now 3Com) from 1991-1996, Coffin assisted in the growth of the company from $78m to $1.9b. His online communications experience began in 1983 with ITT Dialcom, Telecom Gold (UK) and the OTC (Australia), where he established an international email and information network for the entertainment industry. Coffin studied Electrical Engineering at California Polytechnic University and has been an honorary lecturer at the University of Southern California and the University of California at Los Angeles.
